Mission
To research and mine the rich pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmeceutical potential from pomegranates and to promote their organic cultivation to increase their value.
Technology
Fermentation of pomegranate juice and aerial parts aqueous extracts,, and blending of these fermented products with pomegranate seed oil.
History
Founded in 1999 at the Technion Incubator Company (TEIC), a subsidiary of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel.
Future
Drug discovery and design, complex botanical drugs.
Punisyn Pharmaceuticals, Ltd.
Phytaceutical pipeline
Punisyn-1, oil-in-oil emulsion packaged in soft gel capsules for oral therapy and prevention of prostate cancer, ovarian cancer, breast cancer by anti-inflammatory, anti-anigogenic, pro-differentiating, anti-invasive , hormone-modulating mechanisms..
Fi-01, oil-in-oil emulsion containing aqueous originating and lipid originating fractions from an alternative plant source, for complementary therapy of all cancers, by promoting differentiation.
Plant synergy
The whole may be more than the sum of its parts. Synergy between plant parts can be customized and measured with individual plants, and / or between individual plants.
Strategic partnerships
Punisyn seeks partners from the pharmaceutical sector to help finance the completion of drug development and to negotiate eventual marketing and sales.
INVESTORS:
opportunity
The company is poised to introduce a new type of drug into the market with a minimum turn around time because of the low toxicity profile and origin of the drug in a common food. The application would be as a non-toxic cancer treatment.
benefits
Early entry could be followed by early exit strategy, once Stage 1 and 2 clinical trials are complete and acquisition of merger with a major pharmaceutical partner. Other benefits include the satisfaction from working with Nature and relieving human suffering.

POMEGRANATE
EMULSION

Research Reagent
The pomegranate emulsion is produced in an Israel Ministry of Health approved facility under GMP and ISO 9001 conditions and kosher supervision. All pomegranate ingredients used are from organically certified trees and their fruit.
The product is extremely low in only the natural sugars of the pomegranate, and most of these have been removed. No sweeteners of any kind have been added. The product comes in a 150 ml sealed, new, clear glass bottle. It should be kept in a cool dark place, and refrigerated after opening. The recommended daily dose as a dietary supplement is from 1-6 teaspoons per day. Patients taking medications, pregnant and nursing women, and children should consult a physician before use.
Rimonest is interested in cooperative research with qualified investigators and invites inquiries.
Synergy
The product, an oil-in-water (o-w) emulsion is available for research purposes. It is the first generation of a nutriment that will eventually be developed into an oil-in-oil (o-o) emulsion combining the "fatty part of the wine" with the seed oil. The present o-w emulsion is aimed, based on in vitro studies, to maximize the product's inherent bio-active synergy.
Pleiotropy
Pleiotropic traditionally refers to an effect mediated in multiple physiological organ systems from a single genetic focus. Here, pleiotropic is used in a novel sense (Newman and Lansky, 2007, Pomegranate: The Most Medicinal Fruit, Laguna Beach, California, Basic Books), as the interaction between the mammal and the plant produces mammalian effects at multiple levels and in multiple organs.
NO CLAIMS
This is an experimental product for research. No specific health claims are made for its use in human beings.
The product has not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and is not intended for the treatment or prevention of disease.
SAFETY
This is a natural product with an expected very low toxicity profile. First encounters with any botanical product should include spot allergy checks by placing a small amount on the skin and waiting an hour, followed by a second, ingestion of a tiny amount and waiting 24 hours to observe and record the reaction. Severe allergic reactions to pomegranate fruit are rare, but not unknown. A full Material and Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of the o-w emulsion is available. If any problems are experienced from contact with this product, consult a physician..
